The vertical bars are flickering. After this the screen returns to the terminal mode showing the end of the boot messages and prompts to login in text mode. (I would welcome a tip how to caption the screen in the 1 or 2 seconds of vertical bars.) I noticed this at the end of /var/log/boot.msg: Master Resource Control: runlevel 5 has been reached Skipped services in runlevel 5: acpid nfs <notice>killproc: kill(1587,3) Boot logging started on /dev/tty1(/dev/console) at Thu Dec 11 18:29:35 2008 -------------------------- On booting I don't see the "<notice>killproc: kill(1587,3)" message but it's recorded in the boot.msg file. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
