Users that have SLE10 and /usr on a separate partition and all users of apcupsd on SLE11 and openSUSE were affected by this bug. Now it will be fixed and apcupsd will cycle power on your UPS. It has following consequences: - If your BIOS is configured to power-on after power outage, your system will be consistently after power return. - If the power returns before the battery goes totally depleted, never turn your machine on manually before passing the UPS grace period!!! Wait for the UPS power cycle. If you don't like the grace period duration, configure your UPS to use a better value. (See /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf for more, use apctest.) If you ignore this warning, your UPS may turn power off in the middle of booting process! Typo fix for the previous comment: grant period => grace period -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
