acroread is a 32bit package. It is a closed source binary package
which is offered by Adobe *only* in a 32bit version. There is no
64bit version offered.
You have a 64 bit (x86_64) system. x86_64 systems can also run 32bit
binaries. I.e. you can use the 32bit acroread binary on your x86_64
system. But to do that, all required 32bit libraries need to be
installed. Apparently you are lacking a few, so you need to set your
installation source to a repository which has all of these. At least
temporarily. That is what comment #5 recommends.
bug #363488 is about a 32bit library, which was missing completely in
10.2 and 10.3. But this has been fixed. All necessary 32bit libraries
should be available now if you choose a full OSS installation source.
→ closing as FIXED.
