Here is the reason (probably another bug in nspluginwrapper): I have had installed Adobe Reader 8 RPM from Adobe web, then degraded to acroread 7 from SuSE repository. It installed several "random" instances of nppdf.so, including /root/.mozilla/plugins/nppdf.so and /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/nppdf.so (but no /usr/lib/browser-plugins/nppdf.so), and never purged it after removal. nspluginwrapper seems to recycle plugins in /root/ for public use, which is incorrect and causes failure: *** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /root/.mozilla/plugins/nppdf.so: cannot open shared object file: Permission denied After applying a work-around: chmod og+rx /root It failed again, but on reader level reporting version clash: plugin version 8, reader version 7. After removing /root/.mozilla/plugins/nppdf.so it works again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
