What I would like to know is how to disable the crash reporter as it is now an irritant.
export MOZ_CRASHREPORTER_DISABLE=1 But usually I'm fine with getting the crash id as well. It's not useful if the crash happens outside of the Mozilla application though. (In reply to comment #5)
Which repo did these package come from? It seems that the sound support is enabled on your firefox/thunderbird (or xulrunner), thus it does require PA indeed. And PA lib seems crashing badly when PA isn't running / disabled.
Sound support is enabled in every Firefox and Thunderbird build anyway. It doesn't _need_ pulseaudio but I guess if it's partly there it will get used. What was an issue for some people in the past was the libcanberra integration of Firefox/Thunderbird which creates sound effects for UI actions (if configured to do so). This seems to be fragile when it comes to pulseaudio. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
