http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=538862 Summary: k3b growisofs installed in /usr/bin - (not found) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: drankinatty@suddenlinkmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko/2009080200 SUSE/3.0.13-0.1 Firefox/3.0.13 Devs, Setup: openSuSE 11.0, (KDE 4.3.1) "release 163", K3b Version 1.67.0 also (KDE 4.3.1) "release 163" Problem: k3b claims that growisofs is (not found) even though growisofs is properly installed in /usr/bin/growisofs: 22:13 alchemy:~> which growisofs /usr/bin/growisofs 22:14 alchemy:~> rpm -q dvd+rw-tools dvd+rw-tools-7.1-17.1 This occurs even when running k3b as root. (tested as user and with kdesu) I have never had this problem before, so something went south. The error upon starting k3b and after closing the configuration dialog is: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_bugs/kde4/screenshots/k3b-no-gr... The full screenshot showing k3b's confusion is: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_bugs/kde4/screenshots/k3b-no-gr... Obviously, the ability to burn dvd's from k3b is broken without the ability of k3b to recognize the installed growisofs. So currently it is back to kde3 or mkisofs/growisofs from the cli. Let me know what else to check or test. Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install the above listed packages 2. start k3b 3. attempt to burn dvd Actual Results: you are continually prompted to insert a correct empty medium even though k3b shows that you have inserted the correct empty medium due to failure to recognize growisofs Expected Results: k3b to recognize growisofs like it always has -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
