In Libreoffice website itself, Kannada versions available for Windows. rpmfind.net lists latest libreoffice kannada language packs for fedora, centos and even mageia! But Opensuse does not have ! This is not specific to opensuse 12.1. All versions of opensuse have lacked support for this language. Generally, Opensuse's support for languages falls short of the suport we see in other major distributions. This shortcoming affects not only libreoffice, but Gnome, Mozilla,KDE. I can install language translations for all these DEs in Ubuntu for Kannada, but not in Opensuse.
