https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=366611 Summary: Users have problems installing Skype on OpenSuSE on OpenSuSE 64bit Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: vmarsik@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer I gave OpenSuSE 10.3 x86_64 DVD to my relative. It was not the multi-arch DVD, it was just the DVD for x86_64. He installed the system without problems, but was not able to install Skype. He downloaded Skype RPM for OpenSuSE 10.3, and ended with unsatisfiable dependencies on 32-bit libraries, that were not available on the DVD. He even was not able to google a working solution. When I added the on-line OpenSuSE repository to the installation sources, the installation went OK. But anyway, it would be nice to make the life of our users easier. Either Skype should provide a 64-bit RPM on their download page (http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/linux/choose/), or we should add the few missing 32-bit libraries to the DVD. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
