Well, it's the other way round. The installation of yast2-branding-basedonopensuse mixes up the symbolic link /usr/share/YaST2/theme/current which points to the current yast style. In this case yast doesn't use its own style sheet which leads to the fact that you see the desktop's default settings.
So you are trying to say this is intentional? It is hard for me to see why the nice Qt theme should be intentionally replaced by a style that is above all inconsistent (even within Yast2, not to mention colors) and, arguably, visually far less appealing than the default Oxygen style. (I'm coming from a KDE perspective right now, I don't know if the same problem applies in Gtk/GNOME.)
