https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=205982 Summary: CD drive does not work (from Konqueror / KDE-Daemon) Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: uli.2001@gmx.de QAContact: kde-maintainers@suse.de When I click on the "devices" tab in Konqueror, "media:/" appears in the address bar and lists my hard disks and my CD drive (it shows a CD icon next to the name of the inserted CD). When I click on entry for my CD drive, a message box saying "Berechtigungen verweigert" (German for "rights denied" or so), while the address bar changes to "media:/hdg". Mounting /dev/hdg manually to some address (as root) works fine. My CD drive also used to work with earlier SUSE version (probably 10.0). Furthermore, when I insert the CD, the KDE Daemon pops up. The name of the inserted CD appears in the title bar. For "Type of medium", it says "nicht eingebundener CD-Brenner" (~ "not mounted CD burner"). When I click "open in new window", Konqueror is opened at the address "system:/media/hdg", and of course the same error message as above appears. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
