If that is so, then the bug is because jing includes its own variant of a class that is also in libgcj (org.relaxng.datatype.helpers.DatatypeLibraryLoader), but expects the one in the executable to be used. That's a bug of jing (and trang). A patch that helped the debian package is at: http://lists.debian.org/debian-java/2008/09/msg00006.html It happens to work with sun java (and openjdk) simply because that one doesn't contain the org.relaxng. classes already in it's runtime.
