http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=596633 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=596633#c0 Summary: Switching font to `SGI Screen' uses a different font Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 5 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: pablo@blueoakdb.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=354399) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=354399) openSUES 11.1 - konsole using `SGI Screen' User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 SUSE/3.6.3-1.2 Firefox/3.6.3 Howdy, I installed the `sgi-fonts' RPM and attempted to configure Konsole to use `SGI Screen' The SGI non-proportional font is not being used. It's clear when viewing the `konsole' prompt or viewing formatted information (`man ascii') that a proportional font is being used instead. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install `sgi-fonts' RPM (milestone 5, it's `sgi-fonts-1.0-929.2.noarch') 2. Open a `Terminal' window from the menu - which opens a `konsole' window. 3. Rt-click inside the window: Edit Current Profile > `Appearance' tab > Click `Edit Font ...' button 4. From the list of fonts listed (I need to file a separate bug because the token `SGI' typically precedes the font name: `SGI Iris', `SGI Screen', etc), select `Screen' In the scratch window, if you type `0' (zero), you'll note it's not the SGI Screen `zero' - see attachment for example in `openSUSE 11.1' 5. Select `Screen, size 10' and click `OK' back to the terminal. Type `man ascii' - format is off because a proportional font is used, instead of the `SGI Screen' font. Similar issue with the prompt. Actual Results: Some other font is used, not the `SGI Screen' font. Expected Results: I expected the `SGI Screen' font to be used. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
