Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rebelshaed@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Application "Pitivi," a video editor, won't start after being downloaded/installed via software manager. Trying to run from the terminal returned this error: "Gst-Python couldn't be found!" Unable to run Pitivi or find the dependencies necessary to make it run. Trying to install from the openSUSE website, even adding the repo's from the website, bring up the same issue. Running openSUSE 11.4, 64-bit, Gnome 3 desktop environment. Also started thread in openSUSE forums: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/applications/4618... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download "pitivi" from Yast Software Manager 2.Try to execute via Gnome 3 activities overlay or run "pitivi" from terminal 3. Actual Results: When executed from gnome 3 activities overlay (clicking "activities," then "applications" and finally "Pitivi") the OS shows no signs of executing the program; program never loads. Running from terminal shows error: "Gst-Python couldn't be found!" Program doesn't execute. Expected Results: Expected program to execute/open. Did not expect to have to go on a dependency hunt with no luck at resolving (at this point, assuming an issue is a missing dependency, but can't confirm). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
