https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=817603 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=817603#c0 Summary: gnome-screensaver dies at login making lock impossible. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: ASSIGNED Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: dimstar@opensuse.org ReportedBy: rmilasan@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: L3 Blocker: --- I'm using openSUSE 12.3 with Gnome 3.6.2 and Cinnamon 1.6.7. All works OK, but using Ctrl + Alt + L or Lock screen doesn't work at all. Checking "journalctl -b" looks like gnome-screensaver is started but dies soon after: Apr 29 11:23:16 viper.suse.cz gnome-session[713]: WARNING: Detected that screensaver has left the bus Apr 29 11:23:16 viper.suse.cz gnome-session[713]: CRITICAL: gsm_manager_set_phase: assertion `GSM_IS_MANAGER (manager)' failed Searched online and all possible bugs which could generate this seems that have been fixed in our Gnome code, but the issue still happens. Tried Gnome 3.8 from https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=GNOME%3ASTABLE%3A3.8 which actually works as expected, but Cinnamon doesn't work with it, so for me is useless. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
