I don't have an overview over all gnome packages, jet. But I fully agree with comment #1. Please look if a "user" package like gnome-doc-utils requires any "*devel" package (like libxml2-devel) during runtime. We don't speek about developers who want to build packages - we speek about users who don't need any devel packages on their system. The problem in CD ordering: if gnome-doc-utils requires libxml2-devel, we have to add this package to the same media. But libxml2-devel requires other devel packages (like: glibc-devel readline-devel zlib-devel) which want to be on the same media then. Remember that we didn't have this problem in the past without the libzypp-resolver. But now the "devel-Requirements" of some Gnome packages result in a "1.2 GB CD1 media". So there a two important things why you should look for "Requires: *-devel" packages: 1) think about users without any need to have a compiler on their system 2) think about lonesome CD mastering guys who are limited to the current CD sizes ;-) FYI: Currently with Alpha5plus the most work seems to be done for the packages that are on the CD Medias. So for me this bug can be closed. But please investigate some time during your "patch-cleanup" phase to look for point 1 (for users who have the factory tree as installation source) packages which are not on the media. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
