I don't think that these machines have a mda card. The problem appeared during one of our standard kerneltests. A little script which detects available kernelmodules and loads and unloads all of them. It only checks whether module loading works fine. It is not an error, if a module can't be loaded due to missing hardware, but I think no machine (or its ttys) should freeze because of loading the wrong module.
