In the installer, I set grub2 to be installed on "/boot" which should be "/dev/sda6" on this particular system. Everything seemed to go fine. I was able to boot into the system, with a grub2 entry on my 12.2 install that was set to chainload sda6. I have no idea why that worked. When I look at the first sector of "/dev/sda6", it contains only binary zeros. It looks as if the boot sector was never written. When I look at the file "/etc/grub_installdevice", it contains: (hd0,6) Based on experience with 12.2, I would have expected that to contain "/dev/sda6" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
