http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=517265 Summary: Wiki: using cookies to remember user settings Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: wiki AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: noelamac@gmail.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- Just a wish. I guess opensuse wiki use the browser settings to "automagically" guide the user to the corresponding localized site (Spanish in my case). Whenever I want to enter into English wiki (which usually holds more updated information) I have to manually select the language from the jump menu and perform this action every time I want to access "en.opensuse.org". I (mostly) hate cookies, but sometimes even cookies have their use and I think they can be fairly-used used to handle this, that is, to keep language and other settings of the wiki, and so making a better wiki browsing experience for the users :-) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
