https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=211037 Summary: Linksys WPC54G PCMCIA card not recognized correctly Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Alpha 5 Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: suse@bout-tyme.net QAContact: qa@suse.de The Linksys WPC54G card is being recognized by YaST as a network card *_not_* as a wireless card. Because of this the wireless settings cannot be entered, i.e.: SSID, WEP ect. I deleted the auto-detected card and setup a new card with the correct settings and the card works. After a reboot I went back into YaST to verify settings so I could document them and the card was again showing in the selection window as a "Linksys WPC54G" card that is "Not configured". This is strange since the card is configured and operational. I also need to download the firmware from another vendors site as the files are not available from openSUSE. Can this be cleared up please. (bcm43xx) After the system goes into power shutdown the system locks solid, no response even to pings. If I pop the PCMCIA card out the system comes back to life. Renders the system useless if I want to run a program in the backgroud -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
