https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=480758 Summary: Check reactivation of LVM configuration Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Markus.Elfring@web.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=276210) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=276210) zypper installation results I have started a KDE 3.5.10 session with the Linux kernel "2.6.27.7-9" on forenoon. I have performed an online update for a couple of software components including the currently offered kernel "2.6.27.19-3.2". I have tried to reboot in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I was surprised by the following error messages directly after the boot logging was started. FATAL: Module linear not found Volume group "system" not found Now I wonder why it does not work to activate my LVM2 configuration while my self-compiled kernels can find the root file system without a problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
