http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=973743 Bug ID: 973743 Summary: btrfs-convert and recommended btrfs balance fails, locks system, unrecoverable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: yanestra@arcor.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Having a ext4 partition, I converted it to btrfs with command btrfs-convert. Afterwards I removed ext2_saved and run btfs balance, as recommended in the man page. The user program threw a segmentation fault, the process of balancing itself remained running, unstoppable, not progressing. Later I had the kernel log full of errors (attaching this). The partition was unrecoverable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
