I don't have the card installed anymore. xine used that backend automatically, mabye because xv was not available? Now with the intel card xine uses xv. xine
Sounds reasonable. Lately direct rendering is even reported even if there is no DRI driver, but only software rendering available... (In reply to comment #9 from Stefan Dirsch)
Yep. It could be (another) crash in the Mesa software rasterizer (libGLcore in Xserver). Good that this has moved to Mesa (swrast_dri) now. So instead of crashing the Xserver only the application will crash with xorg-server 1.5/Mesa 7.1. At least this is my understanding here.
Sorry, but you're partially incorrect. AIGLX still loads swrast_dri. Though chances are high, that this happens less often. (In reply to comment #11 from Juan Erbes)
I see an inconsistency, the driver will call radeonhd, when in fact it is for the X500 series of cards or X600, and the real radeonhd are 2xxx and 3xxx series onwards.
X500 and X600 won't work with radeonhd. These will need the radeon driver. Also, please don't hijack bug reports for other bugs. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
