https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=250432 Summary: Use correct grub selection if system is installed from a USB memory stick Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 1plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mboman@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com If the system is installed by booting up on a USB memory stick (created with mkbootdisk), the default GRUB selection wants to put GRUB on the memory stick instead of the harddrive that the system was installed on. The order of harddisks is also wrong (USB memory stick listed as the first harddrive and the harddrive where the system was installed is listed as the second harddrive). Can we somehow detect that we're using a USB memory stick to install from and correct the GRUB proposal to default the GRUB install to the harddrive where the system was installed? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
