However, I did a umount from /media/disk (where it automounts) and then re-executed the above command and finally I saw the file names in the correct case. Now, /proc/mounts correctly shows: /dev/sdf1 /mnt vfat rw,relatime,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,errors=remount-ro 0 0 So, at least there is a way to get to the correctly cased filenames. It is more effort than desirable: 1. Insert USB media or flash card. 2. Unmount the automounted file-system. 3. Mount the system again with the options above (as root on my system). 4. Do stuff 5. Unmount (as root) This is two steps more than with 11.1. Seems like gconf is ignored and the automounter only used the lower case option. Let me knew if you need any more information about my system. Thanks you very much for looking at this. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
