http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=577411 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=577411#c0 Summary: KDE live-cd for x86-64 wont show the installation GUI Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: pBakhuis@Gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091222 SUSE/3.5.7-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.7 After downloading the image from http://software.opensuse.org/developer I burned it to a CD and attempted to boot it. While everything seems to go fine where there normally is a screen that asks for the keyboard settings there is now just a black screen. On the first boot it was actually a pink screen, after that I rebooted an used 'check install media' option, which checked out fine. Then the boot after that for another installation attempt came up with a black screen. The cursor does show up and can be moved, the rest of the screen however is just one color without any buttons. This is on a Compal laptop with a NVIDIA 9600GT M videocard.
