https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=473765 Summary: storing of "model" parameter for snd-hda-intel impossible Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-0.1 Firefox/3.0.5 When opening the "Bearbeiten" tab in the sound configuration dialogue for a system with a sound card driven by the module "snd-hda-intel" the "model" parameter is not stored into /etc/modprobe.d/sound. Consequently one has to add something like options snd-hda-intel model=acer in the file /etc/modprobe.d/sound, otherwise your modification do not take place. This should be corrected IMHO, I cannot tell whether the issue still exists for 11.1 but will test as soon as I can access such a machine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Push "Bearbeiten" in the module configuration dialogue for "sound" Actual Results: see descriptions Expected Results: should have added options snd-hda-intel model=acer into /etc/modprobe.d/sound This prevents devices such as Acer Aspire One from having sound functional after a s2disk / s2ram operation. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
