http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619754 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619754#c4 --- Comment #4 from Russ Fineman <upscope@nwi.net> 2010-07-05 15:46:02 UTC --- Thanks for the reply. I Tried what you suggested. Initially I forgot to disable quiet. Did Alt/CTL/F1, got to cmd line login. Logged in as root. The last message on screen was: (shutdown -h now logged in as Root): The system will halt immediately [2461 647304] Power Down It hung here had to use power button to shutdown. Rebooted, went to YaST --> System-->Sysconfig-->bootloader-->Append and removed quiet. went back to desktop and did alt/ctl/F1 and system went to the ksplashx splash screen and hung. Did not go to Terminal. No Activity Check splash is set to no and quiet is removed. Should I have removed quiet like I did or should I have actually modified grub/menu.1st? I'll try again with quiet back in and if I get to terminal I'll shutdown and attach log or post it on pastebin and send url. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
