http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=551233 Summary: 'osc branch' gives permission error when home project is not initialised. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nfbrown@novell.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: Other My first time seriously using the build service, I used osc branch openSUSE:11.2/nfs-utils and received the unhelpful error message Server returned an error: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden no permission to create project 'home:neilbrown:branches:openSUSE:11.2' while executing branch command I managed to "fix" the problem by logging in to build.opensuse.org and visiting my "home project". This prompted my to give a name and description, and then created the project. Ofter than 'osc branch' worked. This is particularly strange as I have managed to create a "home:neilbrown:Factory/nfs-utils" some weeks ago via the 'build' web site when just experimenting. So something already existed. Main problem is the very unhelpful error message - either it should have told me that my home project didn't exist yet, or it should have created it for me. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
