Let's level set. If you have global indexing enabled, and mail synced for all folders and accounts to local disk (and gmail's All Mail folder unsubscribed, i.e. excluded) then the amount of disk used by thunderbird should be: 1. total of all account space as reported by mail server, plus 2. about 10% of #1 for .msf folder index files, plus 3. for the global index sqlite file, not more than #1 Is this what are you seeing with Thunderbird 3.1? Or is it much more?
