http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=520972 Summary: Errors while deleting photos on Canon IXUS 800 (PTP mode) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jschrod@acm.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.21) Gecko/20090410 SUSE/1.1.16-1.1.2 SeaMonkey/1.1.16 On openSUSE 11.1 (32-bit), digikam 0.9.4 (that's the KDE3 version) throws errors when I want to delete photos on my camera. My camera is a Canon IXUS 800, connected in PTP mode via USB. Every second photo I get an error dialog that tells me that this photo cannot be deleted (and it isn't deleted). But that photo can be deleted on the next try -- but again, then every 2nd photo is not deleted. So every "Delete all" action just deletes half of the photos. On openSUSE 10.3, digikam 0.9.3 works fine in the same situation. I can delete all photos on the camera. According to Marcus Meissner on the openSUSE mailing list, the culprit is libgphoto2 and this is a known bug without a Bugzilla ticket. Well, here it is. ;-) I tested that the new library version at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GPhoto/openSUSE_11.1/ works and can confirm that it fixes the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attach camera, start digikam, dialog Import / <Camera model>. 2. On Camera dialog preview, trigger action "Delete all". Alternatively, select a few images and trigger action "Delete selected". Actual Results: Error dialog on every 2nd photo that it cannot be deleted. Expected Results: All photos should be deleted. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
