https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=477340 Summary: No Xinerama Multihead Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: klei6b05@uni-trier.de QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081213 SUSE/1.1.14-1.1 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 I use a Acer Travelmate 4000 with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics adapter. With openSuse 10.3. I had the possibility to select "Xinerama multihead" in YaSTs monitor configuration dialog to expand my desktop over the notebook display and an external monitor. When I select this option with 11.1., I always get a cloned screen on the external monitor. No Xinerama anymore. In fact I *always* get a cloned screen no matter which option I select (Cloned multihead or xinerama multihead; 3D acceleration on or off). After I have 3D acceleration out-of-the-box with openSuse 11.1., I don't use any proprietary ATI driver.
