That's honored even when using the option "import mount points" to reinstall on top of a previous openSUSE system.
In that particular case the .snapshots volume probably has been created in the previous system.
I meant, of course, when using the option "import mount points" while keeping the checkbox "format system volumes" marked (which re-formats the root partition but keeps some sensible previous file-systems like /home).
