https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=722763 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=722763#c0 Summary: installer puts logitech bluetooth dongle in hci mode without sufficient bluetooth stack Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Beta 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: david.mears@suddenlink.net QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.9.1.15) Gecko/20101027 Fedora/3.5.15-1.fc12 Firefox/3.5.15 Logitech mx5500 dongle is started in HCI mode rather than hid mode without enough bluetooth to actually use the keyboard or mouse. without a backup keyboard and mouse nothing can be done with the system, regardless of how the dongle automatically starts in HID mode and bios settings were adjusted before running the installer with same keyboard. Once the full OS is installed this is probably reasonable- it is rather troublesome on the installer itself. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start installer 2. attempt to use mouse/keyboard with logitech bluetooth dongle Actual Results: keyboard and mouse don't work, no bluetooth tools in installer, hci2hid not installed. Expected Results: bluetooth keyboard and mouse work as has been in the case with other OS, including previous openSUSEs and installers. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
