https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1194797 Bug ID: 1194797 Summary: zypper segfaults in WSL Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: WSL Assignee: sle-ms@suse.de Reporter: jlopez@suse.com QA Contact: qa-c@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 855352 --> https://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=855352&action=edit zypper logs I am using a Windows 10 virtual machine (win10-2) from pong.suse.cz. I have installed openSUSE Tumbleweed from Microsoft Store (WSL). Once TW is installed and configured, I have tried some zypper operations like "search -s", "install", "rm", etc. And it stars failing randomly with segmentation fault. For example, if I execute zypper rm yast2-firstboot-wsl (and cancel it) several times, sometimes it explodes and other times it correctly asks for removal confirmation. In /var/logs/zypper.log I see several lines like this when the command fails: 2022-01-17 06:06:42 <1> DESKTOP-9ALJKO1(669) [DEFINE_LOGGROUP++] socket.cc(fromSocket):530 {T:Zypp-Log} Error querying socket domain: 2022-01-17 06:06:42 <1> DESKTOP-9ALJKO1(669) [DEFINE_LOGGROUP++] socket.cc(fromSocket):530 {T:Zypp-Log} Error querying socket domain: -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
