http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=626922 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=626922#c0 Summary: Printout alignment error with Cups 1.4.4 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: homoludens1000@gmail.com QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.11) Gecko/20100714 SUSE/3.5.11-0.1.1 Firefox/3.5.11 I upgraded to (= installed from scratch) openSUSE 11.3 / KDE 4.4 the other day, and while under the previous versions I never had problems with my printer, this time I get an alignment problem when printing out pages after reinstalling the driver. The print out is shifted to far to the right, with the missing part being added to the left (like this: http://www.imagebam.com/image/b2474790160045) The printer in question is a Brother MFC-7420. I've been using the same model and the same drivers (lpr driver and cupswrapper) under previous versions of openSUSE and never had a problem, hence I assume the problem is related to the new version of Cups (openSUSE 11.3 comes with 1.4.4. Before, I think the version used was 1.3.11. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I got the lpr driver and cupswrapper from the Brother.co.jp homepage and installed them in this order (just as I always did). Drivers available at: http://solutions.brother.co.jp/support/os/linux/index.html 2. Opened http://localhost:631/, chose 'Manage Printer', setup printer as usual. 3. Tried to print out something (e.g. Test Page, or from other file). => Printout is misaligned. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
