I've got an older desktop clone with an Intel DQ30J0 system board and a GeForce 8400GS Yea, I know its old, but for its age it doesn't do too bad. :) I can dd the image to a TOSHIBA MK5061GSYN drive in a Sabrent USB 2.0 drive enclosure. Upon reboot I see the kernel and initrd load, but the screen will go blank. There is a flash of an error message, but I can't read it. I believe it says something about gfxterm I belive. After that, there is another line displayed that says, "/usr/sbin/klogconsole". The machine doesn't hang or anything, there is just no output visible on the screen. The appliance does install. There is no video though, but I have been able to log in and reboot. After the reboot, I can login once as well. So I see the boot issue Johannes is seeing. The only difference is that I don't have a display from the time hit enter at the grub prompt until I get a login screen. I guess I should open a new bugz for the for the video issue. Here's the kicker, I can take the drive another machine and it works fine. I can even dd the same appliance to the same hardware without any problems. Now I haven't tried the image a created yesterday on a USB Stick, but I can check if you like. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
