https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=382602 Summary: kcmshell system information utilities in "Applications" category Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hpj@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- When using the application-browser launched from the GNOME main menu, I discovered that there were 19 icons under the "Applications" category towards the top of the browser that don't fit that description. All of them launch system info windows, e.g. CPU information or a list of hard disk partitions. When clicked, these launch "kcmshell <subsystem>" where <subsystem> can be e.g. "processor". kcmshell comes from the kdelibs3 package, and the desktop files in question come from the kdebase3 package. For instance: hpj [~] head -6 /opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/processor.desktop [Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 Exec=kcmshell processor Icon=kcmprocessor Type=Application DocPath=kinfocenter/processor/index.html hpj [~] rpm -q --whatprovides /opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/processor.desktop kdebase3-3.5.9-35 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
