The process halts shortly with a garbled screen. I am unable to get a console output to see any messages. Booting with acpi=off allows the process to contine without any problems. This machine runs a 11.4 installation with no problems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot with the 12.1 RC2 live cd 2. Leave the 'normal' kernel selected 3.
