However in KMix I have three Input Sources, Mic, Internal Mic and Line. First I tried Mic with an extenal microphone connected to microphone in on the front of my laptop. In Skype I have three input sources apart from the default, HDA NVidia (hw:NVidia,0), HDA NVidia (plughw:NVidia,0) and hdmi. I have to choose the default or the first of these three to make sound input work for Skype. When I switch in KMix to Internal Mic as the Input Source the build-in microphone of the laptop did work. Furthermore I played with the boost settings (0 or 50 or 100%) of Mic and Internal Mic and came to the conclusion that it must at least be 50%. With 0% there is no sound. My conclusion on comment #3 from Darek Borkowski is that that is not related to this bug. Argument 1. Sound recording in my system works from all three Input Sources in KMix. Argument 2. Skype works in my system when you use the right settings in Skype and KMix. But _my_ problem still remains. There is no Input Source in KMix from a Midi device. BTW I like the simple layout of the current KMix much more. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
