Apparently you still need to adjust the openchrome sources to the xorg-server version used on openSUSE 11.3. It is release 1.8, but it isn't special at all. Of course you cannot build the driver against xorg-server 1.9 on Ubuntu and then use it on xorg-server 1.8 on openSUSE 11.3.
I can ask in the openchrome forum about this question, I can compile xorg from source as well, but I compiled the driver in opensuse 11.3. I use ubuntu only for testing purpose. In one forum tell that ubuntu 10.10 can run DRI with a hardware like mine and I couldn't belive it, but its true. With the live or installed system is runing without any change. What do you recomend? - Ask in the openchrome forum about what version could be fine. - Compile Xorg from last stable source. - Adjust the driver. Thank you in advance for you time and advice.
