https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=429272 Summary: Unable to setup Samba printer Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: michael.monreal@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- I just tried to setup a printer (which is shared via samba) in openSUSE 11.0: no luck. The printer module in Yast asks for the workgroup name and printer share name... I tried to guess them but it did not work. There's no way to browse workgoups etc. Just a few days ago I setup the same printer from within Ubuntu: no problem at all. Rumor is, 11.1 will ship with system-config-printer (which is what ubuntu uses, too) so this will probably no longer be an issue but I doubt the Yast module will go away, so this still seems to be a valid problem and the module should be more user-friendly in the future. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
