It is installed by default and turned on by default, yet it is broken beyond recognition and completely disfunctional for 98% of the user base. I'm sorry if you happen to be one of the 4 developers in the world who think Compiz servs any purpose in the known universe, but that thinking is incorrect. Disable it, yes, you can try. Some things will be disabled, but not all. Have you tried changing the size of the mouse with Compiz active? No, you haven't, because that doesn't work at all which means 90% of the AARP community cannot use the product because they all need a larger mouse pointer. Un-install it? Obviously you have NOT tried this yourself. It's NOT a stand alone package anymore. Uninstalling it breaks a lot of stuff! It is possible, even at this late date, to remove compiz from the 11.3 release. First you have to unwind all of those misguided packages which chose to become dependent on it, _then_ you send those out as updates along with an update which turns the thing off. Please, I've been writing software for over 20 years. Any package which has automatic updates can be completely replaced in the field at will. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
