https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=394869 Summary: System does not power off if HD does not support "spin down" Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 3 Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Joachim.Reichelt@helmholtz-hzi.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I have a 80GB HDD ST380020A PATA. This drive does not support "spin down" So if I select power down from the menu or root gived an # halt the system proper shut down but does not switch off power. The last message I see is, that this disk "sdc" does not power down. I have to push the power button by hand. And the bios "knows", it was NOT powered down by the OS. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
