http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1170941 Bug ID: 1170941 Summary: no wifi with kernel 5.6.6 in tw snapshot 20200425 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: stephen.berman@gmx.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- On booting Tumbleweed after updating to snapshot 20200425 the Network Manager shows no connection. When I open the Connection Systems Settings Module and click on my configured wifi access point, a PolicyKit dialog pops up requesting authorization with the root password. I enter the password and nothing happens, and the wifi remains unconnected. This is with kernel 5.6.6-1-default. When I reboot and choose kernel 5.6.4 from the Grub menu, on logging on the wifi connection is there and active, as usual. So this seems to be a regression in 5.6.6. This is with a Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
