Install "scim-tomoe" and all the dependencies 2. Relogin to KDE 3. Start "scim-tomoe" from terminal or from SCIM menu ("Handwriting recognition"). I came across this bug in Opensuse 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 My default system language is Russian, no Japanese support enabled.
