dhcpcd eth0 hangs
Hangs in what way? Can you kill it? What it writes with -d option? Isn't eth1 the correct device to try to connect with?
dhcpcd gets an IP address from the server then fails: Looking up hostname via DNS Failed: Name or Service not known dhcpcd: forking to background I haven't managed to write /var/log/boot.msg to the USB stick under the ramdisk. Under 11.1 kernel 2.6.27 the stick appears as /dev/sda1 and can be mounted. However this is not possible under the ramdisk.
