The same card works without any problem in a Thinkpad T42p. On the other hand, a rt2500 based card works (though at slow speed) in the slot of the Amilo. Both systems are running openSUSE 11.3: NetworkManager 0.8-8.2.1 openssl 1.0.0-6.5.1 kernel 2.6.34.7-0.7-default wpa_supplicant 0.7.1.4.1 I tried several current compat-wireless, wpa_supplicant 0.7.3, ifup and NetworkManager - no chance. The ath9k is listed correctly by lspci. Attached you find the messages after insertion of the card and two typical types of messages that wpa_supplicant repeats endlessly afterwards. I reported the bug to ath9k-devel, but noone was interested - unfortunately since then I forgot some detail about what was the specific result of what I tried.
