And as I have said, multiple times, fresh install of openSuSE 11.0 does not have issue. Fresh install of openSuSE 11.1 HAS issue.
Please read comments before asking stupid questions.

Hence my question asking about a VM environment, how is that a "stupid" question? Again, is this on "raw" hardware, or in a virtual machine that you are seeing this issue? Can you set up the network connection dynamically, or is static the only thing that works?
