https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470521 Summary: cpusd not started after printer configuration in yast2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: PowerPC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: olh@novell.com QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: Development 11.1 on powerbook g4 boysenberry.suse.de there is a fresh kde3.5 installation with updates I tried to print a pdf file with kde. printing was not yet configured. So I started yast from the kde menu, configure hardware, printer, print directly to network printer print.suse.de all queues were shown. after I closed yast, printing in konqueror did not work. The was a popup 'initializing printing system', then connection to the cups server failed, /var/run/cups/cups.sock Error 14 rccups status as root shows: unused There was also no insserv cups, ls: cannot access /etc/init.d/*/*cups*: No such file or directory Maybe I clicked too fast in yast, but I remember no error or something. I see that /etc/cups/client.conf has ServerName print.suse.de So its appearently just the missing rccups restart and insserv cups to enable printing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
