A some point of the boot procedure, udevd issues a number of messages of the following type: udevd[108]: timeout: killing '/sbin/modprobe -bv pci:v0000105Ad00004D69sv0000105Asd00004D68bc01sc80i85' [118] There are about 5 different messages of this type, they are issued again and again after a couple of seconds. If I remove 3 of my 5 PCI cards (sound, usb, ethernet) and boot again, only two different messages are left.
